The Mystery is Revealed
The Mystery is revealed
We must understand that the mystery of God’s will has been revealed and this was by revelation from the Holy Spirit.
The Apostle Paul understood the mystery and wrote many letters to help the believers to also understand. He explains that although the mystery was once hidden, it has now been revealed by the Holy Spirit.
[And] that the mystery (secret) was made known to me and I was allowed to comprehend it by direct revelation, as I already briefly wrote you. When you read this you can understand my insight into the mystery of Christ. [This mystery] was never disclosed to human beings in past generations as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles (consecrated messengers) and prophets by the [Holy] Spirit.
Ephesians 3:3-5 (AMP)
In the above verse Paul explains that the mystery was revealed to the Apostles and Prophets by the Spirit, but the rest of us are not excluded, it has also been revealed to the saints.
Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God; Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
Colossians 1:25-26 (KJV)
Many people doubt whether we can really know God’s Vision or God’s mind. After all the Bible does teaches us that it is impossible for man to understand God?
Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unfathomable (inscrutable, unsearchable) are His judgments (His decisions)! And how untraceable (mysterious, undiscoverable) are His ways (His methods, His paths)! For who has known the mind of the Lord and who has understood His thoughts, or who has [ever] been His counselor?
Romans 11:33-34 (AMP)
People even quote the following scripture when explaining that we cannot know the things of God.
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
1 Corinthians 2:9 (KJV)
It is true, God’s thoughts and decisions are unsearchable to man. God’s ways are untraceable. Before the cross eyes and ears had not seen and heard God’s plan and purpose. Yet there is a way to know the mind of God. The passage continues…
Yet to us God has unveiled and revealed them by and through His Spirit, for the [Holy] Spirit searches diligently, exploring and examining everything, even sounding the profound and bottomless things of God [the divine counsels and things hidden and beyond man’s scrutiny]. For what person perceives (knows and understands) what passes through a man’s thoughts except the man’s own spirit within him? Just so no one discerns (comes to know and comprehend) the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
1 Corinthians 2:10-11 (AMP)
God’s thoughts and decisions are unsearchable to man, but the Holy Spirit searches them diligently and reveals the mind of God to us who have eyes to see and ears to hear and hearts to believe and understand.
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
1 Corinthians 2:11-16 (KJV)
With the Holy Spirit we can understand God’s hidden wisdom, we can see His vision, we can know His plan and purpose, but we still have to search the scriptures. It seems as though God has hidden things from us on purpose, because He wants us to search for it.
It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the glory of kings is to search out a thing.
Proverbs 25:2 (AMP)
Everyone has a built in curiosity when it comes to hidden things like mysteries and buried treasure. The Father has hidden the treasure and He wants us His children to search for it. We will need a map and a compass to orientate the map. God has given us His Word and His Spirit. Can you imagine the Father’s joy as His children begin to search for what He has hidden?
