April 2011

What an amazing year so far! The year started off with a God’s Vision God’s Mission class in the Democratic Republic of Congo which we neither organised nor presented.  Our friend, Pastor Kalinde Nzika, who interpreted the last three GVGM courses in Lubumbashi, sent us a message that he would like to start teaching the material himself.  He then arranged a class for January. This is the same person who, four years ago, after hearing the revelation of God’s plan and purpose, grabbed his head and shouted, “Bazooka! There are explosions in my mind!”  Now he is helping to renew other minds!  Kalinde, a Bilbe translator, is currently translating the GVGM booklets into Swahili so that many more pastors and teachers will be able to benefit from the material in the future.  Earlier this year we also met with a Bishop from the Katanga Province in DRC, who attended the classes last year and would now like all his leaders to be trained.

God’s Vision God’s Mission has also begun to blossom in Pretoria. Since February numerous classes have been in progress. I am currently presenting three classes per week. Furthermore, there are five other classes also underway and more are in the pipeline: Henri and Imile are co-presenting a class to fellow students.  Estie has just completed a longer, more artistic version of the course specifically aimed at the youth.  Jaco runs two classes per week and has an exciting possibility of two or three new presenters coming from his classes.  Riaan and Arno have also just started a new class in Cullinan, and Wynand will start a class in Pretoria later in April or May.

The multiplication of the GVGM teachings is very encouraging. People are receiving the truth and are being set free. Dead religious ideas are being replaced with the mind of Christ, and event-based Christianity is being replaced by a lifestyle of intimacy with God.  People are zealously sharing the gospel and ministering to the sick.  It is exciting to see the children of God discover who they really are in Christ! Thank you, Lord Jesus, for the finished work of the cross and the grace in which we stand!

We have also been blessed to record one complete GVGM course and hope to produce a ten DVD set, containing about twenty hours of teaching, for later distribution once the editing is completed. This will especially help the future presenters of GVGM with their revision and preparation of the material. We will also make an MP3 audio version. Thank you, Marlene and Nelius, for the camera work and editing.

After the Pretoria classes have finished at the end of May, Gerhard and I will be travelling to Zambia and DRC for the month of June where we will be presenting at least three GVGM classes.  The class in Chingola will be attended by, among others, a group of American students, and the DRC classes will be for church leaders. While in Zambia we hope to present a few short sessions to train future course facilitators.  We will also be ministering in various churches in DRC and trust that people’s lives will be touched and that the Lord will confirm His Word with signs and wonders.

Please pray for the classes in June!
